About Soljans Estate
For over thirty years, Tony Soljan has been a key player in the New Zealand wine industry, and is a Fellow of the Wine Institute of New Zealand. Tony's life-long passion is to uphold the proud Soljans family tradition of producing quality wines. In 2007 Soljans Estate Winery celebrated our 70th anniversary - making us the third oldest family run winery in New Zealand.
Soljans produces stylish, richly flavoured New Zealand wines, showcasing the regional wine styles of Marlborough, Hawke's Bay, Gisborne and Kumeu. Most of our white wines are cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve their delicate aromas and flavours. To enhance their complexity and richness, our chardonnays are fermented and matured in oak barriques and the red wines are also barrel-aged.
We are also widely acknowledged in New Zealand as being an expert producer of methode traditionnelle (bottle-fermented) sparkling wines and are the produces of Fusion Sparkling Muscat which is New Zealand's most awarded sparkling wine.
