Salvare Estate
Following a move from Auckland in late 2006 Steve and Bev Nathan were looking for a change when they came across a small 6 hectare chardonnay block on the rich Ngatarawa Triangle in Hawkes Bay and Salvare Estate was born.

Planted 6 years ago and operated as a contract grower the fruit from this block had always been supplied to local wineries. The Nathans decided they wanted to diversify and develop the block to produce premium quality fruit which could be split between the contract side of the business and producing their own vintage.

With the help of friend and respected winemaker Elise Montgomery they are creating elegant wines using the best handpicked fruit from the estate along with quality red fruit sourced from the famed Gimblett Road region of Hawkes Bay. Their first vintage was produced in 2007 season.

Salvare: The Latin word from which we derive “Salvation”. The relaxed, casual style of the Salvare brand is reflected in our simple, elegant wines and food. Crafted for those idyllic times spent relaxing and enjoying the company of friends and family.
