Lochiel Estate Vineyard, Winery and B&B
Lochiel Estate is a small family owned vineyard located at Mangawhai in a beautiful valley in the foothills of the Brynderwyn Range. First planted in 2002 with further plantings in 2005 we now grow Chardonnay, Merlot, Malbec, Syrah and Pinot Gris.
Only locally grown grapes are processed in our small but fully equipped Winery under the careful control of our winemaker, Robert Cameron who has had extensive experience both locally and in Europe having worked as both a consultant and hands on winemaker for some years.
Our vision and commitment is to produce hand crafted wines fully
expressing the unique character of this new and exciting region.
