Welcome to Don Johnsons! The home of Cattier Champagne in New Zealand. Donal Johnson purchased the old Winemasters store in May of 2004. Ben Naden joined a few months later. He has over 15 years experience in liquor retail here in N.Z and in Australia.
Ben, along with the rest of the friendly and knowledgeable team decided early on that their customers would pick the range of wines they stocked - not them! Every new wine that gets submitted to them gets put on the tasting bar and they let the customers decide if they should stock it or not - regardless of how many medals or awards it has. After all, it is the customers who are the ones buying them in the end! They found this way of purchasing to be one of the most valuable tools that has made them one of the top liquor retailers in New Zealand.
