Tongariro River Estate
A boutique vineyard located on the old river bed of the Tongariro River. The vineyard is half and half Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. It is family run and the grapes are all handpicked. The grapes benefit from the alluvial soil/stone mix of the riverbed and the wine produced has unique flavours and bouquets.
Wine tasting is available and a new restaurant is on site. Have a glass of mulled wine sitting around the firepit or join us for a game of Petanque. Fly fishing is available about 4 minutes walk from the vineyard. The Turangi airport is located next door, so fly in and visit us!
