Torlesse Wines

Torlesse Wines takes its name from Charles Torlesse, an early Canterbury pioneer who was one of the largest landowners and founder of the nearby town of Rangiora.
The Torlesse Mountain Range part circles the Canterbury Plains.The Company is owned by the Rayner, Tomlin, Fabris, Pharis and Blowers families and the Managing Director and winemaker is Kym Rayner (BSc) who graduated from Roseworthy Wine College.
Kym hand crafts batches of wine to portray the character of Waipara and the company carries out all aspects of winemaking on site. The wines are then distributed nation wide and exported from its Christchurch warehouse.
Wine tasting is available at the Waipara winery, along with an excellent range of arts and crafts. Opening hours are from Friday to Sunday, 11am to 5pm, including Public Holidays and by appointment.
