Pouparae Park is a boutique winery established in 1994 by Alec & Rachel Cameron. Pouparae Park means a high vantage point.
Alec is the third generation to work the family estate and is proud to feature the Clan Cameron family crest on the label.
The winery specialises in unique varietal wines using grapes grown on the rich deep alluvial soils found in Gisborne.
Pouparae Park is set amongst a 2 acre park like garden which features some native trees over 100 years old including pohutukawa & kauri.
More recent plantings of roses, hibiscus, camellias, perennials and annuals surround the large 70 year old two storied homestead.
