At Odyssey we are committed to crafting New Zealand's finest wines. We seek out perfect sites across the country, where carefully selected vines produce grapes of oustanding flavour. Our viticultural team carefully tends the vines to ensure optimum ripeness is achieved. The grapes are then hand harvested in their prime. We gently sculpt them to reveal their inner beauty, then capture them in glass for you to enjoy with great friends anywhere, any time.
In February 2000, Odyssey Wines purchased their first vineyard. The vineyard is situated on Wrekkin Rd in the upper Brancott Valley in Marlborough. We were specifically searching for a site suitable for growing top quality Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, so the heavier clay soils found in this region are ideal. The property is 55 acres, of which we aim to plant approximately 25 acres, with the rest being planted in olives and Roman Pine, to create a Mediterranean feel. Eighteen acres is easily plantable with the remaining 7 acres being planted in terrace blocks. |
