Neudorf Vineyards
In 1978 Tim and Judy Finn planted their first vines, creating Neudorf Vineyards. At that time establishing a vineyard was still a "high risk" investment because the New Zealand fine wine industry was in its infancy.

The name Neudorf is taken from the tiny hamlet established by German settlers in 1842.

Today the little village has many beautiful old oak trees. Some people have suggested they were planted by the original settlers to supply wood for wine barrels as part of plans to establish a wine industry in their newly adopted home.

Today Neudorf Vineyards has an international reputation for exceptional and fine Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling.
