Amor-Bendall Wines |
We established Amor Bendall Wines in 1998, and produced our first vintage in 1999. The winery is owned and operated by partners Noel Amor and Alison Bendall. Noel's winemaking skills are the culmination of more than 20 years experience in the Food Industry. He is qualified in food technology and process engineering, specializing in aseptic technology. Noel was one of the founding Directors of Cedenco Foods Limited, and is a food consultant to NZ and Australian companies. With his work Noel has traveled extensively throughout Europe, and in particular Italy where he gained much insight into oenology.
Noel has stepped aside from corporate life now to bring one of his dreams to fruition. Noel is assisted by his partner Alison, who helps with the administration of the business.
Amor-Bendall Wines is a boutique winery, built by Noel himself. It has capacity to produce 15,000 litres of wine. Whilst small in size our winery boasts a fully computerized refrigeration system, allowing individual control of each fermentation vessel. This is essential for cool ferments, a key to retaining fruit characteristics in the wines. The winery has a combination of new French and American oak barrels. |
