Wine Notes
Winemaker Notes:
The free run juice was kept separate from the pressings juice through ferment. After some time the two batches were blended back together in the right amounts to give the wine a balanced yet complex style. Once blended, the wine was left to relax in tank until bottling.
Viticulture Notes:
Through intense canopy management the yields were kept low and clean. The harvest for our Pinot Gris this year was our earliest ever due to the very warm summer but as usual, the cool nights of the Awatere Valley through Autumn slowed the ripening just enough to develop full flavoured bunches.
