Hawkshead Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2010
Complex aroma shows blackberry, violet, black plum and briar rose. The palate is fluid and mouth filling. Fine gentle tannins give the wine fibre from mid palate through to a long and persistent finish. The flavours are a rich, slightly chocolate flavours of blackberry, black plum, briar, and a little barrel char. This is a cohesive, concentrated wine, a pleasure to drink now, but will reward cellaring up to 10 years.

Wine Notes
Winemaker Notes:
The wine was made by hand in small open tanks, without the addition of yeast, very little intervention but constant and diligent attention. After 12 months in French oak barrels (33% new) the wine was blended and returned to old barrels then allowed to settle through the cold winter months. It was bottled on Sept 15th 2011 without fining or filtration. 2010 Hawkshead Bannockburn Pinot Noir is
truly an artisan wine.
