Wine Notes
Winemaker Notes:
Pinotage, Malbec, Tempranillo, Merlot and Dolcetto were all fermented separately in open top stainless vats. The wines were then put into 3-4 year old barrels for 12 months. The blend was then established to provide a light easy drinking wine, designed for everday drinking.
Viticulture Notes:
Pinotage was harvested from Ian Smith's block in Ormond. Malbec, Tempranillo, Dolcetto were harvested from Andrew Nimmo's vineyard in Bond Road. Merlot was harvested from Richard McIntyre's vineyard in Manutuke. All clean ripe fruit in an excellent year for reds in Gisborne.
