Morton Estate White Label Viognier 2007
The wine has a vibrant straw gold hue. The nose displays lovely fresh aromas of musk and sweet orange marmalade with just a hint of spiciness. On the palate, the classic varietal flavours of mandarin peel and citrus abound and are augmented by a full-bodied, mouth-filling texture of exceptional length.

Viticulture Notes:
Viognier is one of the classic white varieties of the Southern Rhone Valley in France. Revelling in slightly warmer conditions, it has found its Southern Hemisphere home in Hawke’s Bay in our vineyard in the Bridge Pa triangle area.
Full varietal flavours are only achieved by holding the fruit on the vines for an extended period as the aromatic qualities of this grape are the last elements to appear in the ripening process. The 2007 vintage provided exceptional ripening conditions with perfectly clean, ripe fruit.
