4.5 stars, Winestate, Sep-Oct 07 Hand harvested and gently whole bunch pressed, this wine was barrel fermented in small French oak barriques – 30% new. A rich, full bodied Chardonnay with a creamy mouth-filling texture. It has strong white peach and grapefruit flavours which are well integrated with the smoky cedar oak. It has slightly more new oak flavours than our recent Chardonnays but we think this wine has sufficient body to carry it. The spine of acidity adds to its fresh appeal. This is a wine of subtle power which promises excellent cellaring potential – best drinking from 2008 to 2010. More

Hand harvested, and blended with a small amount of Sauvignon Blanc. Whole bunch pressed and cool fermented in new and seasoned barrels producing a concentrated, fleshy and vibrant wine exhibiting honeyed, ripe tropical fruit flavours. It will cellar until 2010.
