Camel Valley Served At Prime Ministerial Reception And At Queen’s Jubilee Lunch
UK Wine maker of the year Sam Lindo was delighted to be invited recently to a Reception at 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister, attended by the UK’s top chefs. He was even more delighted to discover that the wine served was 2009 Camel Valley Bacchus. Said Sam: ‘It was great to see Gordon Ramsey, Raymond Blanc, Sophie Dahl, Rick Stein, Michel Roux, Nathan Outlaw, in fact all of Britain’s top chefs and many food critics and writers, all holding a glass of Camel Valley’.
Sam is the second generation Camel Valley wine maker to be invited to 10 Downing Street; Bob Lindo went in 1997.
Just two days later both Sam and Bob were invited to a Jubilee lunch at Exeter University attended by Her Majesty the Queen and HRH Prince Philip, to whom they were both introduced. Said Bob Lindo: ‘It was wonderful just to be invited, but to discover that Camel Valley Cornwall Brut was the aperitif was absolutely fantastic’.
