British designed wine brand Pig in a Poke has announced the latest addition to its Old Spot range; a Rosé that’s refreshingly fruity and packed full of flavour. Following on from the success of Old Spot Red and White to complete the Pig in a Poke wine portfolio, the Rosé also supports the same offer - 100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back!
The launch of Old Spot Rosé follows an exclusive event in London, during which members of the public selected their favourite Rosé - based on taste and colour – from a range of liquids. The resulting wine supports Pig in a Poke’s core philosophy that these wines are picked for the people, by the people.
Speaking of the new Rosé addition to Pig in a Poke, Alistair Morrell, managing director of Wheelbarrow Wines Ltd said, “We have sampled Old Spot Red and Old Spot White over 10,000 times in the last year, and Pig in a Poke's drinkers have been asking us when we are going to launch a Rosé. But we have some principles, one of which is we don’t do big things without getting our consumers involved. So we entertained 40 or so customers at The Swan in Hammersmith to come and choose which wine they wanted us to go ahead and launch. Thank you to them – our wine heroes!”
Pig in a Poke Rosé will be exhibiting at this year’s Hotel and Catering Show in Bournemouth at the International Centre on Stand F5, being held on March 16th-17th, and also at the Northern Restaurant and Bar Show on April 12th-13th, found at Stand 210. The Rosé will be available to the trade from 1st March 2010 and its official launch to the consumers will be in Nicholsons Pubs, including The Swan, on 22nd March and available online through www.piginapokelive.com in the same week.
