Premium McGuigan parcel for Tesco.com
Award-winning Australian producer McGuigan Wines has secured a limited parcel listing for selected wines from its premium portfolio with Tesco.com. The deal comes as the McGuigan brand continues to go from strength to strength in the UK, having experienced a 100 per cent increase in value and 95 per cent growth in volume in 2009 1.
The wines, all trophy and medal winners from the International Wine Competition (IWC) and International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) or 90+ Parker wines, will be available from mid-March in extremely limited quantities. The wines featured include McGuigan Earth’s Portrait Riesling 2004 (IWSC Jancis Robinson Riesling Trophy); McGuigan Shortlist Chardonnay 2007 (IWC Australian Chardonnay Trophy) and McGuigan Shortlist GSM 2007 (IWSC Silver ‘Best in Class’). The mixed case will have an RRP of £96 with only 100 available.

In 2009, McGuigan Wines was awarded the Winemaker of the Year trophy, Australian Producer of the Year trophy and Jancis Robinson Riesling trophy at the IWSC, as well as White Winemaker of the Year at the IWC and Australian Riesling Over £10 trophy at Decanter World Wine Awards.
