Obituary - Eileen Halewood
The funeral took place on Friday last of Mrs Eileen Halewood, co-shareholder and founder with her son John, of Halewood Vintners Ltd, later to become Halewood International Holdings Plc.
Eileen Halewood, who was 87, was well known to many Halewood customers and friends for her cheerfulness and good humour.
John Halewood, chairman of Halewood International, paid tribute to his mother, saying: “She was a much loved lady who took an active interest in what happened in the business. Her Irish heritage gave her great spirit and determination, and she was an inspiration to all who knew her.”
