Saint Clair Estate Wines | The climate warm and sunny, the scenery spectacular and varied. Fertile valleys nestle between rows of impressive snow capped mountains, so these vineyards thrive in this climate of low rainfall and plentiful sunshine.
Marlborough's most fertile area is the plain formed by the Wairau River where the provincial capital Blenheim is a focal point. The dry cool evening climate, high sunshine hours, free draining alluvial soil of the Wairau valley and Awatere valley along with medium/large river stones (which retain heat throughout cool autumn nights) have lead this region to producing stunning wines.
Sauvignon Blanc described as intense and vibrant with racy herbal bouquet is Marlborough's flagship wine. Chardonnay is the second extensively used variety with Pinot noir and Riesling battling for third.

Seresin Estate |
|
The sentinel stone at the entrance to our Home Vineyard in Marlborough signals the path to both our winery and our philosophy. The stone bears a subtle handprint, a symbol of the individual and of creative endeavour; it represents our philosophy to work traditionally with natural elements and elicit a true Marlborough character in our wines and our extra virgin olive oils.
Organically and biodynamically grown, hand-tended, and transformed using natural, traditional winemaking, the grapes from our estate are raised on a cornerstone of working in harmony with nature. Thus we seek to elicit complex flavours and palate texture.
