Ata Rangi Kahu Botrytis Riesling 2003
Produced By Ata Rangi Ltd
Wine Description
Although there were not quite as many botrytis-affected berries in this 2003, the shrivel-sweet fruit exhibits very similar dried fruit characters with flavours reminiscent of candied orange and lemon peel.
Winemakers Notes
The name 'Kahu' was inspired by a beautiful, bronze-coloured hawk which can often be seen hovering above the vines there. Kahu was first produced from the 2002 vintage. So lusciously irresistible, we could have sold it ten times over.
