A classic Central Otago Pinot Gris, intensely aromatic, this wine bursts with flavours of fresh figs and guava, with hints of rosewater, fresh ginger and quince. The palate is off-dry, intensely persistent, with soft acid and a typical ‘greasy’, textural mouthfeel. |

This is my fifth release of a ‘Single Vineyard’ Pinot Gris. Harvested from the 'Red Shed' vineyard in the Bendigo area of Central Otago, the grapes were very gently handled. Slow fermentation in stainless steel tank with a selected yeast strain imported from Alsace has retained the intense fruit aromas which develop in the unique climate and schist soils of Central Otago. |
