Shaky Bridge Pinot Gris 2007 |
| Produced By
William Hill Vineyard and Shaky Bridge Wines |
| Wine Description |
|
Concentrated flavours of apples, pears, melon and quince invite you to this superbly balanced Pinot Gris. Copper tinged in colour, our 2007 Pinot Gris is an intensely fruit driven, aromatic wine with a weighty palate and spicy finish. Unlike many of its global cousins, the style of our Pinot Gris encapsulates the essence of Central Otago by providing a full and uniquely flavoured wine for this variety. Enjoy now or cellar 3 – 4 years to enhance complexity. |
| Winemakers Notes |
As has become our proven method of winemaking for our Pinot Gris grapes, exceptionally ripe berries were hand picked, crushed, destemmed and transferred to stainless tanks for a 24 hour cold soak period to provide skin contact and extract the pigmentation we see in our Pinot Gris grapes.
The juice was cool fermented in stainless steel and was aged on light lees for a short period prior to bottling.
