Tasting Notes
Colour: Dark red with plum hues.
Bouquet: Bramble berry and plum with a hint of smoky oak.
Palate: Plum, berries and a hint of vanillin oak. Concentrated, textured and fine grained.
Winemakers Notes
After malo-lactic fermentation the wines were matured in French oak barriques for 12 months (25% new, 75% older) before blending (85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet ) and bottling.
Viticulture Notes
Produced from 6 year old (67%) and 12 year old (33%) vines grown on the deep free-draining gravels of the Bridge Pa Triangle (85%) and Gimblett Gravels (15%). Hand harvested and fermented with selected yeast peaking at 29C (Merlot) and 26C (Cabernet).
