Wine Description
Vibrant light red with a pink hue, the nose delivers aromas of raspberries and spice. The palate is fresh and full of light berry fruits, finishing clean with a refreshing aftertaste.
Winemakers Notes
The grapes were machine harvested and pressed upon arrival at the winery, a small percentage were fermented on skins. Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel, with selected yeast strains, and stopped just prior to completion so as to leave a balanced, small amount of residual sugar.
Viticulture Notes
The fruit used to produce this Rosé was grown in the North Island of New Zealand. The fruit was grown on two cane vertically shoot positioned trellis. Regular trimming during the growing season ensures the fruit is well exposed to sunlight and the free flow of air through the canopy.

The 2007 vintage was ideal in Gisborne and Hawkes Bay. Fine mild days continued throughout the harvest period, with minimal rain, resulting in even flavour development and ideal harvest dates.
Cellaring
This wine should be consumed while young to enjoy its freshness and varietal flavours. It will develop more mature characters with cellaring up to 2009.
Food Match
This wine is a superb match with pawpaw and prosciutto salad.
