| Tasting Notes |
Colour: Ruby red with purple hues
Aroma: Lovely aromas of vanilla and violets with ripe red fruits
Palate: A rich palate of red fruits with nicely integrated vanillin oak and soft supple tannins. A very fruity and approachable style.

| Winemakers Notes |
|
Individual batches of grapes were hand harvested separately. They were crushed/de-stemmed into small open fermenters and inoculated for ferment with selected yeast. The ferments were gently plunged 3-4 times daily during the period of fermentation and left for a short post ferment maceration. The wines were pressed off and put to new and seasoned American oak barriques for ageing. The wines were blended after 10 months ageing and returned to oak to age for a further 6 months. The wine was lightly egg white fined and filtered prior to bottling. |

Ash Ridge is a 6 ha vineyard alongside Ngatarawa Road, Bridge Pa. Our grapes are hand selected and hand harvested. Jon Peet manages the vineyard and Jon and Emma undertaken the majority of the husbandry work themselves to ensure quality. |

This wine is ready for drinking now but will continue to develop and complex with up to 8 years cellaring. |

This wine is a perfect match to a meaty fish dish such as tuna steak, tomato-based dishes particularly pasta, beef salad and lightly spiced Thai dishes. |
