| Wine Description |

A trial vintage from our Omaha block, this wine has a deep rich purple colour, with stewed plums, blackberry and cassis notes on the palate and black pepper and liquorice after tones. Hand harvested with 70% whole-berry after crush, the fruit was quickly fermented, basket pressed and then put into new Frenc hoak for secondary fermentation. After racking it was stored in new French oak until bottling in August 2007. Although off young vines, this wine is showing surprising depth considering the age of the vines and the age of the wine. |
