Terravin Pinot Gris 2007
Produced By Terravin Wines
Wine Description
Very low cropping vines from our hillside vineyard in the Omaka Valley Marlborough produce this rich and luscious Pinot Gris. A lovely delicate bouquet of rose petal and peaches and apricots seasoned with nicely balanced old oak.
Tasting Notes
Rich and concentrated with a weighty suculent palate. Delicate aromatics of rose water, apricots and peaches. The palate weight is huge and finish is prolonged. A great aromatic food wine in a more alsation style.

5 Stars The debut 2007 vintage (*****) makes a powerful statement. Hill-grown in the Omaka Valley, it was fermented with indigenous yeasts and lees-aged in old French oak barrels. Pale straw, it is very bold (15 per cent alcohol) and rounded, with exceptionally strong peach and apricot flavours, seasoned with oak. Weighty, concentrated and dry (3 grams/litre of residual sugar) it's a highly distinctive wine, showing lovely fruit sweetness and richness.
