Winemakers Notes
Juice was cool settled for clarity, then cool fermented with a number of neutral as well as aromatic yeast types to retain and enhance the fruit's intense varietal characters. The wine was aged on yeast lees for a short time before bottling to enhance mineral flavours and palate texture. A touch of residual sugar helps to enrich the mid palate and provide balance for a fresh natural acidity.
Viticulture Notes
2007 had a warm spring, cool flowering period and long, dry autumn, leading to low yields of highly flavoured grapes.

Fruit came from vineyards in Marlborough's Wairau Valley with soils consisting of alluvial over a papa pan. The combination of selected sites has contributed to a wide range of flavour and mineral characters in the wine.
