The name Hukapapa comes from the Maori language and literally translates to mean frost/ice. |
| Tasting Notes |
|
Apricot, mango and honeysuckle fruit aromas on the nose. The luscious palate has concentrated honeyed/citrus fl avours with a long lingering finish. |
| Winemakers Notes |
These specially selected grapes were machine harvested, destemmed and gently pressed. The resultant juice was settled until clear. It was then freeze concentrated, filtered, warmed and fermented slowly with an
aromatic style yeast. |

Early budburst allowed for an earlier start to the season than normal. Strong early growth and warm, dry conditions during flowering and fruit set resulted in a good bunch set. The fine, dry weather conditions continued through the ripening months in February and March allowing the grapes to develop good fl avour profiles ensuring crops reached optimum sugar levels for harvesting |
