A fresh and vibrant wine with ripe tropical fruit and gooseberry flavours combined with herbaceous notes from the addition of 11% Semillon. |

The Sauvignon Blanc is cropped at 4 to 4.5 tonnes per acre and the Semillon is cropped at 2.5 to 3 tonnes per acre. The fruit was machine harvested early in the mornings and crushed, juiced and allowed to settle for about 4 days. The juice was then racked off the lees before commencing fermentation at 12 degrees. Once ferments were completed the wine was carefully blended with a delicate amount (11%) of Semillon and stored under temperature controlled conditions until final filtering before bottling. |

Our Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc comes from our 2 vineyards in the Omaka Valley. The first vines were planted in 1989, and we have since expanded quite a bit. The last plantings are from 2005. All the grapes are grown on our Estate and cared for by our own vineyard workers. The soil is composed light loams interspersed with gravel. All our rootstock is phylloxera resistant. Our vines are planted in rows 3m apart using the Vertical Shoot Positioning on standard 2.1m trellis. |

| Sweet almost bubblegum aromas abound on the nose and unsurprisingly give way to the full spectrum of tropical flavours. The acidity is relatively low but with a clean, balanced finish this is a fine wine that went particularly well in the consumer tasting. |
