Cape Campbell Pinot Gris 2007
Produced By Cape Campbell Wines
Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale gold
Aroma: Lifted notes of pear and apricot, supported by an underlying bread crust note, and a hint of spring flowers.
Palate: The wine is medium bodied with a refreshing and full palate. This palate shows ripe pear, along with a touch of spice. It has excellent balance and a lingering finish.
Winemakers Notes
After pressing and cold settling the resulting clear juice was fermented at cool temperatures to retain the purity of flavour. After fermentation the wine was carefully balanced and prepared for bottling under screwcap.
Viticulture Notes
Sourced from Cape Campbell's own vineyard in the Marlborough sub region of Blind River. The grapes were carefully monitored during ripening to ensure they were harvested at the peak of flavour development.
Cellaring
Perfect for now this Pinot Gris will continue to please for the next 2 years.

A clean, fresh nose with hints of ginger and spice is followed by a subtle palate of pear and apricot that has undoubted potential to develop further and enhance its complexity and structure whilst retaining its soft acid backbone. Buy now drink a little later.
