The Pinot Gris is cropped at 3.5 tonnes to the acre. The fruit was machine harvested in the early mornings and crushed, juiced and allowed to settle for 4 days. we then racked the juice off the lees before starting ferment at 12 degrees. Once ferments were completed the wine was stored under temperature controlled conditions until final filtering before bottling. |

Our Marlborough Pinot Gris comes from our 2 vineyards in the Omaka Valley. The first vines were planted in 1989, and we have since expanded quite a bit. The last plantings are from 2005. All the grapes are grown on our Estate and cared for by our own vineyard workers. The soil is composed light loams interspersed with gravel. All our rootstock is phylloxera resistant. Our vines are planted in rows 3m apart using the Vertical Shoot Positioning on standard 2.1m trellis. |

| A restrained nose of stone fruit is surpassed by the terrific peach and honeyed flavours that erupt in the mouth. The texture is soft, creamy and opulent. Open for 20 minutes before drinking. |
