Wine Description
The grapes for this chardonnay were hand-picked and gently processed to ensure premium quality. This elegant, fragrant wine has a nashi pear bouquet with a creamy butterscotch influence from subtle oak ageing.

Food Match
Roast Chicken special - Use juice of 1/2 lemon and squeeze over the chicken, stuff cavity with the remaining lemon, garlic cloves and 2 sprigs of rosemary. Season bird with salt and pepper and massage olive oil into skin. Add potato chunks and any other vegetables to the pan. Set oven to 220 Celsius - start the chicken on its side for 20 minutes, turn it to the other side for 20 minutes then finally breast side up for 20 minutes for a wonderful golden skin. Make sure to deglaze the roasting pan with the Hawkes Bay Chardonnay - to remove all the delicious crunchy bits for the gravy.
