Wine Description
The wine has a lovely pink hue and the ripe flavours from good vineyard sites. It is made in a dry style, ideal for luncheons or as an aperitif. The vibrant, fruity, berry-driven nose has a delicate and fresh palate. The finish is pleasing and dry. Serve well chilled.

Winemakers Notes
Fruit was crushed into our presses and left to soak overnight to extract colour before pressing the next day. After cold settling the juice was fermenting using yeasts that enhance the development of wine aromas. We bottled in June 05 to make a fresh, fruity style. A light fining and careful stabilization has kept intact the full fruit aromas and full bodied mouth feel. The components selected for the blend were chosen with ripe berry flavours without herbaciousness and to give a soft finish.
Viticulture Notes
The grapes for this Rosé were harvested off vineyards on Ohiti Road and Moteo Pa Road. The blend is 79% Merlot and 21% Cabernet Sauvignon. 2005 was a warm summer, which allowed ripe berry flavours to develop in the fruit.
Cellaring
The wine is youthful, soft and fruity at time of release. It will unfold particularly well over the summer.
