Selected parcels of fruit from our elevated peninsula Top Flat vineyard were picked and combined to give us the best expression of the vineyard. Showing breathtaking complexity, tannic structure, texture and intensity on the palate, this wine is drinking nicely now and will improve and become more complex over the next five years. This wine is exceptionally silky on the palate, showing intense aromas and flavors of mixed spice, rich dark plums and vanilla. These flavors linger in the mouth, tempting the taste buds for more. |

2004 was a superior vintage for the ripening of red grape varieties (esp. Merlot) in Gisborne. The long hot summer days gave us perfect conditions to produce a high caliber red wine. |
