Anchorage Unoaked Chardonnay 2004
Produced By Anchorage Wines New Zealand Limited
Wine Description
Surprising wine, tasty, showing plenty of good fruit. An alive, Chardonnay, no clutter, balanced and ready to be enjoyed.
Winemakers Notes
Nelson Chardonnay grapes were machine-harvested and bag pressed to a juice stage and fermented in two separate batches with the yeast strain CY 3079. One batch was allowed to proceed with a 100% malolactic ferment, before being left on gross lees with an occasional stir. Both batches were blended, 30% non malolactic, 70% malolactic and then processed to bottle.
